The Buck 16x24 Fine Art Print

I was invited to teach a short class for the International Society of Animal Photographers in the summer of 2024 and part of that class was a demo on how I make some of my “graphite” style artwork featuring wildlife (and sometimes pets and people in this style, too).

The original image was captured in Colorado with some friends on a trip. For the demo, I showed the viewers how I start extraction and painting the image in Photoshop using a tablet and pen. The class wasn’t long enough so I embellished it further after the class had ended and this was the result.

I love this one. It’s kind of a staple here in the south to have some form of game on the walls. I never killed a good looking buck before so this will have to do (insert laugh emoji but there’s no emoji on the website).
